How to Lead Multi Generations

Updated: Oct 21, 2019

Today nearly one in three employees are millennials, and this has fundamentally changed the workplace dynamic.

Because they grew up during the boom of the digital age, they are no longer assimilating to

past generations; instead, the opposite is unfolding.

Companies now need to place a higher emphasis on workplace engagement and emotional support, because when people are engaged and connected to their work, they are more productive and fulfilled. Here's how to lead today's workplace effectively.

1. Provide Clarity - Clear and direct talk stating exactly what is expected is not only desired, it's ideal.

2. Provide Critiques - People like to do more of what they're excelling at if they understand how it's

done.

3. Provide Certainty - Clear and consistent communication regarding success causes workers to become agents of change and practical contributors to the cause. Explain what's needed, then let them produce.
